Institutional TELAS Pilot Program

A leading innovation for the Higher Education sector

Institutional TELAS is a program initially developed in collaboration with UNE and offers TELAS accreditation at the institutional level, certifying organisations as providers of high-quality online learning experiences.

Currently there are no institutional accreditation programs for quality online learning in higher education. By establishing TELAS as an institutional program, ASCILITE is leading the sector with a unique credential at a pivotal time, following the widespread adoption of online learning during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Institutional TELAS program is a longitudinal engagement with three components that can be undertaken independently, or integrated with institutional initiatives such as LMS transition or digital uplift.

The three components to the institutional accreditation program

Initiation Phase

Initiation Phase allows the program and framework to be tailored to the institutional context.

Assessment Phase

A sample set of courses or units are assessed against the tailored TELAS framework as a representative of the institution overall.

Capability Building

To enhance organisational maturity with the TELAS standards.
