Dr. Chris Campbell SFHEA

Nexus Fellow - UNSW Canberra

As a leader in learning and teaching innovation Chris works across both the city and ADFA campus in her role as a Nexus Fellow. Chris’ research area is in educational technologies to improve student learning and engagement, particularly in online learning. Chris was the President of ASCILITE for two x 2 year elected terms and was previously on the Executive for another 5 years prior. In December 2023 Chris became a Life Member of ASCILITE. Chris has been the co-lead of the TELAS portfolio since 2019 including implementing the framework and developing workshop training and assessment procedures.

With a strong foundation in deploying innovative learning technologies, Elaine has led the design and evaluation of curricula across a range of academic disciplines. Her leadership is characterised by a focus on excellence and adaptability, ensuring educational practices not only meet but anticipate the evolving needs of higher education. Elaine is the Vice President of ASCILITE, the leading national body for technology-enhanced learning, and co-leads the TELAS (Technology Enhanced Learning Accreditation Standards) portfolio.

Associate Professor - University of Southern QLD, Learning and Teaching Futures

With over 20 years of experience in Higher Education, Lisa focuses on engaging learners through emerging technologies and was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence in Student Engagement in 2015. Her PhD research on Virtual Worlds in teacher education led to her book, Using Virtual Worlds in Educational Settings: Making Learning Real. A member of the ASCILITE executive, Lisa has worked with the TELAS team since 2021 as part of the first certified reviewer intake.

The ASCILITE Institutional TELAS program pilot

ASCILITE is currently piloting an Institutional TELAS program in partnership with UNE. Institutional TELAS represents the first credential of its kind in the sector, allowing institutions to gain sector-recognised assurance as a provider of quality online learning.
